Shooting tests helps you to practice new techniques and try out new ideas. With a considered approach you can then send the results to potential clients.

 

Wanting to obtain more work as a commercial photographer in Birmingham, the idea was to create an image that appealed to commercial brands and editorial clients.

 

This image was shot using accessories from Birmingham men’s tailors,  Clements And Church, styled By Sy-Anne Taylor.

 

Shooting in my Birmingham photo studio, I wanted to create an ‘invisible man’ model, so the viewer could focus purely on the accessories that were included in the image.

 

The accessories were hung on fishing wire, in the relevant places on imaginary body parts of the invisible man. They shots were then comped into one image using layers in Photoshop.
