Tessa Burwood – is a multilingual public image consultant and creative practitioner. She holds an MA in Spanish and Portuguese from Cambridge, and gained a fluent knowledge of Brazilian language, music and culture during her time spent living and working across Brazil.
Tessa is Director of Professional Incredibles, a not for profit production company based in Sparkbrook, Birmingham, specialising in community engagement, place making, professional development within the arts, interfaith dialogue and low impact living.
Their foundation project is Brum Spirit – a cultural exchange between Birmingham and Brazil, founded in 2011. Brum Spirit (previously named Espirito Brum) is a Birmingham based cultural exchange program, which promotes and facilitates collaborations between the best artists and performers from around the world. Brum Spirit works to unite, champion and complement the city of Birmingham with one off world music and art events.
Other projects include interfaith celebration Brum Together, community percussion group Drum Together Brum, and Birmingham music industry focus Levitate: A Life in Music.
Professional Incredibles take a holistic, inclusive approach to arts production. They delight in working with people from all backgrounds, and in brightening everyday life in our home city, and beyond. They are also committed to catalysing the professional development of Birmingham based artists, venues and organisations, and they strive to highlight human rights issues through their work.
Tessa’s Specialties: Branding and identity, international relations, organisational culture and practice, interpreting (Portuguese, Spanish, French), strategic research, networking, mentoring within the creative industries.
Tessa is also now studying for a Legal Practice Course, inspired by her creative industry freinds and colleagues enquiries and concernes regarding litigation.
