The Trials of Self Employment have taken their toll of late. A little bit of an injury for a few months knocked me sideways a bit but I’m looking forward to getting back at it soon. I’ve missed the buzz associated with working with people.
For now, here’s a headshot of conservatoire graduate, Anna Palmer. Anna is lead composer with Birmingham band, Dorcha, a five piece made up of synths, strings, electronics and heavy beats.
Since launching their first album ‘Black Streams’ in 2015, the bands genre defying sound has been praised by BBC Music’s Stuart Maconie.
They have shared line-ups with the likes of Deerhoof and Dream Wife and their latest release ‘ISM’ take a further venture into the depths of leftfield electronica whilst maintaining refined pop sensibilities.
The headshot is a behind the scenes from a shoot yet to be unveiled…
See ya soon!
